Invicta Watch Repair in St. Louis — Authorized Service Center

Invicta is one of the most popular watch brands in the United States — and one of the most frequently repaired. The Pro Diver, Speedway, Bolt, and Subaqua collections are worn hard, and worn daily. Batteries die, crowns break, crystals crack, and gaskets wear out. When that happens, you have options — and knowing what they are helps you make the right call for your watch.

Written with input from Conor A. and Adrian R., Certified Watchmakers trained at Illinois Gem City College of Watchmaking and authorized Invicta service technicians at Watch Technicians St. Louis.

Watch Technicians is an authorized Invicta service center in St. Louis with three walk-in locations. This guide covers what Invicta owners most commonly need repaired, what authorized service actually means, which models are worth servicing, and what you can expect before you walk through the door. For specific services and pricing, see our Invicta watch repair services page.

What “Authorized Invicta Service” Actually Means

The term gets used loosely, so it’s worth explaining clearly. As an authorized Invicta service center, Watch Technicians has access to Invicta’s technical service documentation, genuine-compatible replacement parts, and the specific tools required for Invicta movement calibration. That’s different from a general watch repair shop that services Invicta the same way it services any other quartz watch.

Where this matters most is water resistance. Invicta’s Pro Diver line is rated to 100–200 meters, and the Subaqua Noma series to 500 meters or more. Maintaining that rating after a battery replacement requires replacing the case back gasket, inspecting the crown gasket, resealing the case, and pressure-testing it. An authorized center does this as standard procedure. Many non-authorized shops skip the pressure test entirely — which means your “water-resistant” watch may not be after they’ve serviced it.

The Most Common Invicta Repairs We See in St. Louis

Battery Replacement

By far the most common Invicta service request. Most Invicta watches run on standard Swiss or Japanese quartz batteries with a lifespan of one to three years depending on the model and its power demands. Chronograph models and those with illumination features drain batteries faster than simple three-hand watches. Our watch battery replacement starts at $19 and is typically completed in about 10 minutes. For water-resistant Pro Diver and Subaqua models, we include gasket replacement and a pressure test in the battery service — the same procedure Invicta’s own service center performs.

Crown and Stem Failure

Invicta crowns see a lot of stress, particularly on larger Bolt and Speedway models with exposed crowns that can catch on things. A crown that won’t pull out to set the time, feels loose in all positions, or has come off entirely almost always means a broken or stripped stem. On screw-down crown models — common across the Pro Diver line — over-tightening is a leading cause of stem damage. Crown and stem replacement restores full time-setting function and, on water-resistant models, re-establishes the crown’s contribution to the water seal.

Crystal Damage

Invicta uses mineral glass on most collections and synthetic sapphire on higher-tier lines like the Reserve series. A cracked or deeply scratched crystal doesn’t just look bad — it creates an opening for moisture and debris to reach the dial and movement. Minor surface scratches on mineral glass can sometimes be polished; cracks and deep gouges require full crystal replacement. We match crystal replacements to your specific model’s dimensions and curvature.

Bracelet and Strap Issues

Invicta bracelets are substantial pieces of hardware that take real wear. Stretched links, broken pins, worn clasps, and collapsed deployant buckles are all common on heavily worn models. We resize Invicta bracelets, replace individual links, rebuild clasp mechanisms, and fit replacement straps across the range of Invicta lug widths — including the oversized configurations on the Bolt and Subaqua lines that aren’t compatible with standard aftermarket straps.

Movement Service

Most Invicta quartz watches run on Japanese Miyota or Swiss Ronda movements — both workhorses that are well-suited to periodic service. If your Invicta is losing time, gaining time, stopping intermittently, or behaving erratically after a battery replacement, the movement itself may need attention. For Invicta’s automatic lineup — the Pro Diver Automatic, the Objet d’Art, and the Vintage series — a full mechanical service every five to seven years is recommended to keep the movement running within specification.

Invicta Collections We Service Most Often

We work on every Invicta collection. The models we see most frequently are the Pro Diver (quartz and automatic), Pro Diver SCUBA, Speedway, Bolt Zeus, Subaqua Noma III and V, Objet d’Art, Reserve Specialty, Coalition Forces, Specialty, Angel, and Wildflower. The Pro Diver is by far the most common — it’s the watch that introduced millions of Americans to the brand, and it’s built to last with proper maintenance.

For oversized models like the Bolt Zeus (52mm+) and certain Subaqua configurations, parts sourcing is more involved than standard-sized watches. As an authorized center, we have the supply chain relationships to source what these watches require rather than improvising with generic parts.

Is It Worth Repairing an Invicta?

It depends on the repair and the watch — and the answer is almost always yes for the most common services. A $19 battery replacement is a straightforward decision for any Invicta. Crystal replacement, crown repair, and bracelet work typically run between $40–$120 depending on the model and parts required, and these are worth it on any watch you wear regularly.

Full movement overhaul is where the math gets more nuanced. A Pro Diver Automatic or an Invicta Reserve model with a retail value of $200–$500+ is absolutely worth a movement service. A basic quartz Invicta in the $50 range probably isn’t worth a $150 overhaul — and we’ll tell you that directly rather than recommend a repair that doesn’t serve your interests. Free estimates mean you can make an informed decision before committing to anything. See our watch repair cost guide for current price ranges across all service types.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invicta Watch Repair

Are you an authorized Invicta repair center in St. Louis?

Yes. Watch Technicians is an authorized Invicta service center. We follow Invicta’s service specifications, use genuine-compatible parts, and perform pressure testing on water-resistant models after battery replacement — the same procedure Invicta’s factory service center uses.

Can you restore water resistance on an Invicta Pro Diver after a battery change?

Yes. Our battery service on water-resistant Invicta models includes case back gasket replacement, crown gasket inspection, case resealing, and a pressure test to confirm the water resistance rating is restored. This is included as standard — not an add-on charge.

How much does Invicta watch repair cost?

Battery replacement starts at $19. Other repairs vary by model and complexity — stop in for a free estimate and we’ll tell you exactly what your watch needs and what it costs before any work begins.

How long does Invicta watch repair take?

Battery replacement is done while you wait — about 10 minutes. Crystal replacement and strap repairs are typically done within one to three days. Full movement overhauls may take up to a week depending on parts availability and complexity.

Does Watch Technicians service affect my Invicta warranty?

Invicta’s standard warranty covers manufacturing defects, not wear or accidental damage. Authorized service centers like Watch Technicians can perform battery replacements and routine maintenance without voiding that coverage — in fact, using an unauthorized shop is more likely to create warranty complications since they may not follow Invicta’s service specifications. If your watch has a defect you believe is covered under warranty, bring it in and we’ll assess it honestly and advise on the best path forward.

Do I need an appointment?

No. All three Watch Technicians locations in St. Louis are walk-in — no appointment needed during business hours.
